Facelift (or rhytidectomy) is the surgery indicated in cases where the soft tissues of the face have given way over time. The goal of the operation is to reposition the soft tissues and thus determine an harmonic and physiological traction (lift) of both the skin and the deep structures.
Depending on the extent of the incisions we distinguish mini-lift, lifting of the middle-lower third of the face and finally the complete face and neck lifting, which treat both facial and neck wrinkles to varying degrees both in the lateral portions and in the under the chin.
The results of a facelift last for a lifetime, since in general they are able to set the ‘clock hands’ back by at least 10-15 years.
