Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) is a remodeling and reconstruction surgery of the abdominal wall, indicated in subjects who have faced a strong weight loss or in subjects who, for other causes, have a relaxation of the skin and muscle component of the abdominal wall (eg postpregnancy).
It is preferable to intervene on subjects with stable weight, as abdominoplasty is not an intervention whose goal is to ‘make the patient lose weight’. The surgery has several stages, including the repositioning of the navel, the repair of the rectus abdominis muscles and the removal of a variable amount of excess skin. The scar is quite low just above the pubis and easily concealed with the slip.
Abdominoplasty is often associated with liposuction of the lateral quadrants and hips. It is an operation that takes place under general anesthesia and, therefore, all the pre and postoperative steps must be

It is an intervention with a high satisfaction rate because it radically improves the body silhouette, erasing the previous “belly”.
