Aurelio M. Cardaci MD PhD graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in October 2002 and enrolled in the Register of Surgeons of Catane in July 2003. In 2007 he obtained his specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery discussing an experimental thesis of reconstructive microsurgery of the fingertips of the hand, innovative technique published on scientific articles and presented at various national and international conferences. During the specialty numerous were his international professional experiences, which contributed to a complete and honest scientific and surgical training.
From 2005 to 2007 he attended the Plastic Surgery department of l’hôpital Saint-Louis in Paris as intern. In 2007 he obtained the diploma of Experimental Surgery and Microsurgery at the Université Paris 7 and the diploma of Microsurgical Techniques at the School of Surgery of the Université Descartes in Paris.
In 2008 Dr. Cardaci obtained a PhD in Biotechnology applied to Plastic Surgery which led him to obtain a prestigious Fellowship with clinical and experimental activity at the Department of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of the SHOWA University in Tokyo.
In 2009 he took the exams and obtained the Diploma of Hand and Upper Limb Surgery at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris.
Once back in Italy, he decides to continue his surgical activity in private and to teach in masters dedicated to medicine and cosmetic surgery. He is also a member of the main national plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine associations and participates annually in numerous national and international conferences, work-shops and updates.
He currently works as a freelance surgeon in Rome, Catania and Pescara.
