Female Cosmetic Genital Surgery
Cosmetic surgery of the genitals (both in women and in men) has become very popular in recent years. Therefore, by increasing the number of potential patients, it is our duty, as specialist surgeons, to refine the techniques more and more trying to improve the experience of the intervention and the postoperative. Hypertrophy of the labia minora (also called nymphs), often associated with hypertrophy of the clitoral hood, is one of the most frequent disorders that prompt a woman to consult, but also conditions of hyper or hypotrophy of the labia majora or lipodystrophy of the pubis are our fields of operation. Then there are other functional interventions of the vagina such as colporraphy or other vaginoplasty, more frequent after pregnancy and childbirth, or the revirgination (hymenoraffia) which completely reconstructs a perforated hymen.
